We miss home movies.
The ones where someone forgot they were still recording, the camera gets passed around, and people look straight down the lens instead of pretending it isn't there.
The picture isn't perfect. The framing might be questionable. But somehow, watching it takes you straight back.
That's the idea behind Something Borrowed.
Your wedding doesn't need a second take.
Weddings have never been more beautifully documented. Between cinematic wedding films, perfectly composed photography and content created for social media, there are more ways than ever to capture the day.
But we think there's still room for something a little less polished. Something that simply records how it felt to be there.
Something Borrowed was created to bring the feeling of the family home movie to modern weddings. We send you easy-to-use camcorders that become part of the day, then afterwards we take everything that's been captured and professionally edit it into your own nostalgic wedding home movie.
There will be shaky shots. People will talk to the camera. Someone will probably use the zoom far more than necessary. Good.
Because twenty years from now, we're not sure perfect framing will be the thing that matters. It'll be hearing the voices again, the laughter, the way everyone looked and all the little bits of the day that weren't staged for anyone.
